Assalamu’alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu,
Alhamdulillah it’s Spring break. One week holiday is more than enough to try many new recipes. Last weekend my wife and me made cream puff and it tasted really good. InshaAllah in this entry I will share the recipe with you guys.

For the pastry.
1/2 cup Water

1/2 cup Butter

1 1/2 ts Granulated sugar

1/2 ts Salt

1 cup Flour

4 Eggs

For the glazing.
1/4 cup water

4 tbs granulated sugar

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. In a large saucepan, bring the water, butter, salt, and granulated sugar to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Take the pan off the heat when all ingredients are well mixed. Stir with a wooden spoon, add the flour and stir hard until all flour is well incorporated. Add eggs one by one while stirring until the dough is smooth and glossy and the eggs are completely incorporated. Using a pastry bag fitted with a large plain tip, pipe the dough onto the baking sheet, in 2-inch diameter rounds. Bake for 20 minutes.

While waiting for the puffs, in a medium saucepan, bring the water and granulated sugar over medium-high heat. Let the ingredients boil and thickens. After the puffs are done, glazed them using the thickened mix of sugar and water. Let them cool and filled them with ice cream whenever you want to eat them.

We got the recipe from here and we alter it a bit to fit our taste. You guys can try it, inshaAllah.
